You mad lads! You actually did it! You made an RTS for a game jam!
Got to the end, bit glitchy now and there, but has a lot of charm!
The art is raw, but it works. Sound effects got a bit repetitive after some time. Maybe consider pitch shifting on hit/attack sounds?
You took on a lot! The fact that you achieved as much as you did.. You should be very pleased :)
Very bold of you to create a complex system like this. I liked the idea, it reminded me a bit of the Kingdom series. I couldn’t survive for one night after 2 runs, my workers didn’t gather resources so I couldn’t build more towers, my 2 wood towers was destroyed by the dragons. I think with more polish this can make a really cool game.
Really ambitious project! Creating an RTS is quite the feat! It was a little difficult to know whether the workers were actually working or not and whether the commands were getting them to mine/gather. Overall really cool though!
There is a lot of effort that went in this game !
Didn't expect a fully fleshed out rts with production, construction, resources. Really ambitious !
Controls are a bit clumsy (no real feedback for what it does when you click). Art and music could use some polish (loved the weird enemy design). Couldn't beat it tho, seems quite hard when you don't really know what you are doing.
Far from the worst Age of empires/Starcraft clone i saw ! Well done !
Thank you :)
We realized it was over-scoped, but went through with it anyway, cutting corners where possible. Hope to improve the game post-jam. Will also add in better info and instructions. Appreciate the feedback.
