This was a lovely game to play.  Loved the graphics, loved the controls.  The split second I thought "Shame, it could use a mini map"  I realised "Hey, it's got a mini map!".  This is very polished and leaves you wanting more.  Thrilled to hear you will be adding stuff.  I'll follow this one for sure! :)

Developer

Thank you very much, BurbleGames. This encourages me to improve the game. If you liked the game right now, I think you will really love what I’m planning to the final version. Thanks again.

I loved everything about this. I understood pretty quickly what I was supposed to do.  I like how it is 'tower defense' but its implementation is simpler than standard tower defense types. We also made one this week and the classical structure is a bit of a challenge.

Developer

Thanks you IDM, I’m glad you loved, we are planning an extended version with all feedback received + the ideas we didn’t have time do add + QoL (joypad support, tutorial, more languages, pause button, etc).

At first wasn't clear what to do. Tried to shoot myself and couldn't move (tried WASD). But after that it was quiet easy to grasp.

Loved how the "radar" was around my character ... but I didn't know where to place the towers, so placed them all over the moon ... but then the asteroids came only from 1 direction. So was a bit confused if I should've kept most of my mana from the start.

Overall great submission.

Developer

Yeah, I didn’t have time to add a proper tutorial in-game, so I added a short instruction to itch.io page. The final result is far from the initial concept, so I’m working on an update with QoL and other changes. Thanks for playing, and thanks for the feedback.

Took me a bit to figure out what exactly was going on but was able to get it pretty well on my second try, I think. I agree with a lot of the other feedback here, but I think the main thing I would like to see if I had to pick one thing would be some kind of timer or score or other indication of how one defense compared to another.

Regardless, definitely fun. Nice job!

Developer

Thanks. I agree with you. My idea was to show “First wave”, “Second wave”, … “Last wave” to give a feedback to the player about game progress, but the time was short. Thanks for playing.

The graphics are very nice ! Also the game is cool but there is some lack on the gameplay : I think the moon is too big and with our little screen we can't  see everything so we don't know how we died and  what did we did wrong.  Also I did not understood the utility of elements for towers. My advices are :

  • Make the moon smaller, maybe with 4, 5 towers
  • Zoom out, maybe even show all the moon in one screen
  • Allow the  player to act, for example give the player a  wand to destroy the asteroid himself, the tower are here to defend place where he can't be
  • And, I think it was planned but, give some utility to the elements, maybe the ice slow, the fire can burn and the bolt can chain several asteroid

Anyway I criticize but congratulation for releasing a game for the jam, it is always tough.

Developer

Yeah, the gameplay can be improved, we had to cut a lot of ideas because the time was short. Thanks for the feedback.

Top notch graphics, from the menus and gameplay, really cool, I think this game is worthy for the title for this month wild jam. Was a bit confused when I see the "asteroid" radar. Overall, nice experience, gameplay, great UI.

Developer

Thank you very much.

Cool game and concept! I like the art and music a lot. One thing I would've liked is to have it zoomed out so you can see the whole moon--it might make it easier to set things up if you know exactly where everything is. I'd like to see more!

Developer

Thanks. Yeah, the first idea was a minimap on corner but i couldn’t implement it in time. But a zoom out could solve.

I didn't invest well at the beginning so just had to watch my moon die. :) You said you ran out of time for balancing, it's so hard in a gamejam I know! I enjoyed the pixel art, but I couldn't work out what the non-pixel art dots represented. Well done on your entry!

Developer

Thank you for playing. Yeah, We could add a tutorial but we didn’t have time. The dots are UI indicators showing incoming meteors (my original ideal was a minimap on upper right, but again, we didn’t have time.

Art style is great, loved the ui showing the incoming meteors (once I figured it out), couldn't win (I guess when all staffs are maxed ?) ! Very fun !

Developer

Thank you. I couldn’t win too, it’s too hard.
