Too bad about the controls, the storytelling/audio/cel-shading are great. Will try the updated version definitively
The controls were pretty tricky – both on the ground and for flying the ship. That being said, I loved the writing, voice acting, music, art, and intro sequence.
Fun game 10/10
I liked the game, the funny story and the voice acting, it's a shame that zolga haven't a talented prehistoric voice actor :D Unfortunately, fly with the spaceship don't work with me, I am on Linux with a non-english keyboard configuration and the spaceship keep going backward and explode... That's really a shame I was really enjoying the game
Hey , thanks for playing!
Zolga does have a voice actor (me) but I didn’t have time to record. His voice can be heard in another game if you are ever curious (https://madparrot.itch.io/zolga-the-ship-waker-gwj35)
I tried using physical keys so the layout shouldn’t matter, what layout do you use?
At first controls are hard to get used to, but once you get it... It pilots like container ship :P
I like the graphics and ship 3D model looks great IMO.
(PS. I need to restart a game 2 times, because parts get stuck under the ship. My fault too)
Really enjoyed this, though it was definitely a battle to get used to the controls and start making actual progress.
The moon looks great, particularly because of the cel shading. The general concept of collecting parts that help you get the other parts is great. I also really liked the spherical map HUD. Nicely done!
Entertaining as always! Warning label was funny! Great audio and story telling, nice work! I like the little Zelda jokes/references in there. Cel-shading was pretty good too, it can be so hard to make it look nice so I've never tried. Unfortunately I found the controls just too hard. :(
No voice for Zolga? :)
Ohh I see, after seeing Vikfro play it on stream and putting the initial part in the wrong place (which is what I did!) I was then able to control the ship much more easily. :) Got to see the extra content, and enjoyed it thanks.
A bit hard to control the ship but the game was really great!
Loved the lore and the Radio bits! The calming jazz really made up for the tense millimetric ship manipulation😅
great stuff 👍
Just leaving a hint for whoever comes here: checkpoints are stored every time you land the ship. If you die, you go back to your last safe landing. You don’t have to leave the ship, just having is on the ground is enough to store a checkpoint.
I really liked the visual style and how you interact with the map. The controls are a bit difficult but it's easy to get used to :D
