The idea was pretty good, unfortunately it doesn't spawn any enemies, I could place the towers, and upgrade them, but no enemies would ever come, really a shame, I love tower defenses. From what I could gather, The game has no music and sfx, and I also did not found a feedback to the player about the cost of the towers, and the cost of those upgrades, and the sprites didn't scale while in fullscreen.

I couldn't get it to fully work, but the placement of towers works really well. Looks promising.
The Linux version of this game does not work. It starts but then fails to load the enemies (see image). I have the terminal open to show the debug log.
The "Settings" button in the main menu does nothing. The graphics are not scaled properly (as seen in the screenshot). However placement of the towers work, but can say much about the rest as nothing is happening once the first wave arrives.
As this is my first time using Godot, I have no idea why enemies spawn in debug but not in exports. Very sorry.
