Cute and the beginning music reminds me of Monkey Island ! It plays fluently and the texts on the signs are witty.
it's rare that a game makes me want to read the signs so much! just well done!
Niceeee..... Couldn't finish it though
Nicely done! The gameplay is enjoyable and I especially liked the final boss. The writing was pretty relatable even if a little cliche at points. My only real issue was a small one with the controls. Sometimes when I tried to turn around while running, it seemed like the input was ignored. Great job though! I'm sorry to hear about all those power outages you had.
okay this is definitely my favorite game of the jam that i've played, i got to the section with continually spawning enemies and died three times before finally passing, but as of yet i have not found a way past the final insecurity, but i will! i loved the art style, narration, and game mechanics! the buttons were super fun, and i really like how the screen gets foggier to indicate health. amazing work!
Wow, thanks for the kind words! I know you'll beat the final boss soon :D
The assets are all from Kenney.nl, so sadly I can't take credit for that (besides the purple recoloring), but I'm glad you enjoyed the narration and mechanics. Writing and coding are my strong suits, and I'm glad they shined through! The fog is supposed to be the main character slowly waking up before they've conquered their insecurities, so I'm glad you liked that too.
It was really fun to make, so it's nice that others were able to enjoy it too
