danke schön!

She left me again and took the kids this time, sadly not even the hit game Plummet Panic could make up for 20 years of neglect

Cool vfx and gameplay concept but unfortunately held back by the camera and controls :/ I think even just allowing players to change momentum in air would improve the gamefeel significantly.

Not quite my cup of tea as I don't have much experience with games like this, but I can tell there was some real care put in here to give the player total control of their ship! Great work :)

Super slick pixel art and sound design! I think I encountered a bug where the kick animation would stop right after starting, which ended up killing me a couple times. Still had a lot of fun with this one though, great job :)

cool concept! the captcha at the end was pretty funny lmao. i found the firing system a bit tedious sadly. i kept aiming and then realizing i hadn't yet loaded a bolt in. the pulleys often jumped to the wrong position when i clicked on them too. but overall i enjoyed myself. keep up the good work!

this was a lot of fun! tight controls, solid platforming! there were some tough sections but it wasn't too bad since enemies didn't respawn. unfortunately the game froze when i got to the door at the top of the tower, but i still had a great time :)

anytime sis 💅

it's always right after submissions close, isn't it

I'm glad you enjoyed yourself! The sandbox mode was a bit of a last-minute addition for the exact reason you mentioned. We had a lot of fun messing around with infinite items during development and figured it would be a good way to introduce players to the mechanics without throwing them in the deep end. The nail freezes objects in place :)

Hi! The controls are in the description of the game :) Hope this helps!

very cute! my deepest condolences to whichever one of you was pulling your hair out trying to get stairs to work 😔

10/10 communism is when no tower of discarded consumer products

Thanks, glad you had fun!

Yup, this was 100% intended :) A key part of the design philosophy was creating items that could interact with each other in fun ways, even if it wasn't necessarily realistic!

it was hard to figure out how to play at first but once i got the hang of it, it was pretty fun!

cool concept ! the sfx were crispy

Adorable! Would be cool if there were some kind of progression system to keep things interesting :)

pretty cool dood 😎 i like the coyote time!

This game saved my marriage

Cool concept with the jenga blocks! I did find myself spending the whole game running away from an ever growing mob of enemies, so it would be cool to add a special attack that can take out a bunch at once.

Very charming! I laughed when the lion meowed!

Absolutely fantastic, one of the best looking submissions I've seen in any of these jams. Great vibe with the sound and the writing was also solid!

nicely done! would be great with some sound effects!

Glad you liked it! I haven't encountered that issue before, was the game ignoring your mouse position?

wonderful!! i love the sense of humor!

gameplay is fun enough, but unfortunately not very original. the pinup asset you put in the thumbnail is pretty clickbaity ngl.  ui is mad clean tho

Sick! Did not expect to see a sci fi reimagining of rapunzel lmao. The music, sound, and art were all fantastic :)

Pretty fun! I played for a while but only got to around 160m. Didn't end up reaching the cannons sadly.

what am i supposed to do with the sandwich

nicely done! great graphics and sound design! movement felt really smooth and satisfying.

i personally would've preferred a few more checkpoints as it was a bit frustrating to have to redo the same challenges i already passed just to get back to what i was currently working on. that kind of difficulty can definitely work in a full game! but imo in jams like this people are playing so many games that they might not have the patience to sit through the same thing they just did like 10 times lol. especially if they JUST completed the challenge and then immediately die on the next one with no checkpoint in between. definitely not speaking from experience here :P

seems to me like it was worth it in the end!

of course! the issue with the pots might be solved if you make some simpler collision shapes. honestly if you have a big complicated bunch of polygons like that it's better for performance to simplify their collision shapes as well. i probably would've just put a big box over all the pots lol.

thanks!

he's a chicken nugget 😌

(1 edit)

pretty cool! i was immediately drawn to your game by the creepy low poly jester in the thumbnail. i liked the graphics a lot, what shaders did you use? unfortunately i got stuck in some geometry in the room with all the pots and had to quit. i wish there was a pause menu or at least some other way to for the player to regain mouse control.

there are some really solid ideas here tho! it's TOUGH trying to coordinate between 5 people especially as beginners (i would know), so don't feel too bad if the product didn't quite come out the way you hoped. yeah a more experienced solo dev might be able to do something similar in a few days, but there's literally no need to judge yourselves on that standard lol. just because you have 5 people doesn't mean you can make something 5 times faster. keep up the good work.

the platforming at the start wasn't really all that difficult but regardless, no reason to be rude

neat!

pretty cool! did you make all the artwork, sounds, and music yourself?
