Nice simple game!
I feel like the audio on pickup really took some air out of the game though, and it could have used some ambience.
For a first jam, this is spectacular, and I hope you continue :D

Simple but well executed.
It feels like it's missing some background ambience, like the whistling of wind or rustling of dry leaves.
My high score was 36.
Nice work with the graphics!
It was sometimes bit tough to pick the right food I wanted when they were stacked together.
Thank you for playing and for the feedback!
Yeah I agree. It was coded so the last item you walked over would be the first to be picked up, but realistically that's just a bandaid fix (especially when you can only carry so few items) - next time I'd love to add some logic to stop them spawning on top of each other!
I found myself constantly picking up the wrong things too, and then running around to go grab other things to fill up the inventory X3
If we had a bit more time, I would have loved to add collision based spawning (not to be on top of each other), as well as the ability to drop something you picked up incorrectly!
Thank you for trying out the game ^^
Nice and Smooth. I played through it twice. No idea if a score of 33 is good or bad.
Congratulations on submitting a complete and polished entry!
Great for a first game! The web build is working well. Good luck with your future projects and game jams. :D
Oh yeah, the web version online worked great. Thanks. (I've been using the itch client to play games, so I didn't even notice your web version before.)
Fun game. Nice art, good audio feedback. The UI is nice. The rules are easy to understand.
The game is a little short, with the timer. It'd be cool to have additional levels with some obstacles or other challenges to provide variation.
Nice entry.
Thank you for the feedback, glad you enjoyed it!
Definitely, we had so many different ideas we would have loved to do - especially with making the game feel more fleshed out, have different levels with different layouts and objectives and so on. But unfortunately we ran out of time for this game jam xD
