Wildcards Used
Memory Lane

Game Description
In the game we play as a person suffering form dementia. This short story about last memories that person re-experiences.

How does your game tie into the theme?
I interpret void as emptiness that one may experience when suffering a dementia disease. Unfortunately due to lack of time we couldn't dive in to the topic as deeply as we wished.

I'll echo Houseman Games here: mechanically it was rough to play, at moments I was wondering if the game was intentionally taking control from me. But it was incosistent so I bet they were bugs. I had UI bugs in my submission at launch to, so I feel you.

That being said, there were some cool moments that felt great, like the moment in the void; it just looked cool. So I think there's potential here and it's a great first submission! The type of game y'all made is no small feat to whip together in a crunch.

Entertaining and well done

I think maybe I finished it. I got to a point where "I" was in bed and then it went to a loading screen and never came back?

Honestly, this was pretty hard to follow both mechanically and narratively. The look-around function stopped working often and could sometimes be reset by pressing ESC without exiting but sometimes it needed a reset. The sound broke early on and never came back. The story jumps from place to place and I'm guessing it's something like you'd died and were looking back at how/what happened?

Good work on a first jam game, but definitely needed some testing and clarity.

Thanks for playing and your feedback. Yes, it lacks a lot due to fact I didn't have time to polish mechanics and story. If I ever decide to work on this game again I will check on that issues

The concept sounds good! Unfortunately, I can't seem to progress at all after the dishwashing as I'm forced to press ESC to get out of that dialogue box, which is also the button that makes the game lose the mouse capture mode in web with no way of getting it back without restarting (thus making it impossible to regain control of the camera). I'll be happy to try it again if there is a fix or workaround!

Hi, thanks for playing and feedback. I didn't have time to test the game in browser, I submitted the game like 4 minutes before deadline. I see other comment saying they managed to reach the end, but I don't know the details. If I ever decide to work on this project again I will make sure that issues don't happen.
