Game Description
Girlboss your way through different realms to become the ultimate feminist dream: a self sufficient BAMF mechanic.

How does your game tie into the theme?
It was intended that the system of relics and gears be complicated and messy- hence unpredictable. You collect parts that interact in unexpected ways.

Fun lil' game! Art is really nice, of course, and the dialog was fun. Tutorial was a nice touch!

Great work!

Thanks!!

I managed to make it past the dryad with multiple thorny shields. The gears have potential for a lot of cool builds if the mechanic was a little bit stronger. For rushed projects with no time to balance it might be better to start from the opposite direction and make the make incredibly easy, especially when one of the main draws is seeing the fantastic character art.

Honestly, yeah. I was worried about the game being too boring of press a button and you're done with the fight but I was sort of rushing to remember how to code, and never got around to properly making sure it was playable. I guess learned for next time- better easier than harder!

Thanks for playing!!

i love this game so much! the humor and character designs made me want to make it til the end. i especially liked swordfish girl and fairy "queen". unfortunately i wasnt able to reach the end the honest way, so i farmed a lot of shields in the tutorial fight : ' )

Developer

Hi! Thank you so much for the compliment! The balancing was way off and I made it too way hard T-T . I really appreciate you spamming shields to get to the later characters!!!!

Extremely fun concept! I really enjoyed seeing all the different characters and I thought the art style used for the characters and game items was excellent! I would have loved to see the rest of the UI in the same style, though I imagine time constraints may have been a factor.

Overall, big thumbs up and I had a lot of fun!

Thanks!! I really appreciate it! Wish I (or more specifically my artist haha) had more time to make more stuff to show off her beautiful art! Wish you could've seen the rest of the enemies but the balancing was... nonexistient. :/

I love the humour in the game, the dnd references are awesome. Lizard lord is based but he loves to spam that crappy heal move. Gameplay is simple and I like the shield build.

All the character designs are sick and I love how they're drawn. Swordfish knight is best girl, and I love the gears as a concept.

Would Girlboss again / 10.

Thank you! When I am on hour 50 something of coding and dying I need to find something to do to keep myself sane, so I make silly jokes/references to use in dialogue.

Props to you for making it to swordfish knight!!!! The balancing was hasty to nonexistient - so I appreciate the effort! Wish I had been in a place to outsource people to playtest by the end, but time was quite tight. My artist insists that the later characters look even cooler, and I agree. Here are two of my personal favorites, the fairy queen (a guy, so not in the running for best girl, but still), and the Jelly queen.

I love how varied and unique the designs are! Really great work :)

And I get what you mean about the coding lol, you should see what I start naming my functions and variables when I’ve been doing something for so long and just want it done.

But yeah, the game was pretty fun until swordfish knight, but then she just obliterated me 3 times in a row, couldn’t figure out how to get past her.
