Game Description
You're a starving chipmunk with no preparations for the coming winter. What do you do? You raid the tower of squirrels and steal their acorn supply instead! Shoot your way up to the top to get acorns and points.

How does your game tie into the theme?
The setting takes place in a weathered down tower, overgrowned by trees and infested with squirrels.

A beautiful mess. Take it from the previous developer comments that this is a work-in-progress, but often the hardest thing to get right is style, and this one has it. I think this could be the start to a more refined development and ultimately a fun game within the unique genre you've found.

Controls I'd agree could use an overhaul (maybe even conforming to WASD, and using the charge-up to allow the player to boost across a few platforms at once—at their risk), but otherwise, I like the artistic direction and accompanying music.

Congrats to those of you who remained on the development and submitted something on your first outing in Godot Wild Jam. Survival is the biggest victory. :)

Thanks for this feedback, for a bit I was determined to just step away from this project for a bit but earlier in the day I began to get ideas on how to overhaul the gameplay and seeing this really makes me ready to jump back into it with the remaining team. I can't wait for the next Jam we partake in.

I loved the art in the main menu and music!

Unfortunately I found the player character a little hard to control, and couldn't progress beyond the third platform with only 5 acorns/jumps available.

I read the note in the game page, but the available acorns don't seem to recharge when I pick up new ones in my first run as well :(

Thanks for trying the game and for your feedback! I wasn't aware that the mechanic didn't work even on the first life but we'll look into it once the team is ready to come back to the project (we got a little burnt out on it). Thanks again! :)

Hey, thanks for the feedback!

Unfortunately things got a little rocky with some vanishing so some issues went didn't get to be resolved. As for acorns, only fix with this version is closing it entirely and restarting unless that's what you did then that's something I didn't foresee myself. Those of us remaining plan to overhaul the gameplay in the future. Sorry the first experience with Punk Munk was a little less punk than expected.
