Fun take on the theme.

I was able to make it to level 7 and will come back to try to complete the rest.

The graphics, sound, and music were all very nice and liked the fading through the factory as the start of the level.

The gameplay itself was simple but fun.

Two quick notes, some introduction to the game would have been nice - although once I saw the instructions it was straightforward. When I restarted the level name got stuck and the objective did not show up. Fixed itself on beating the level.

Thanks for submitting,

A clean simple game with great presentation.
My AI definitely failed at level 4.
Great job.

Wow… I didn’t think the game with the simplest preface, gameplay, introduction, etc. would be so amazing! It’s spectacular what you’ve done with so little.
Really well done! Congrats!

how does this only have 6 ratings so far?! this is so neat! really cool, old 3D film-esque aesthetic, plus the concept itself is quite nice. having a quick overview of the controls would have been really helpful: i only realized you could tilt the box and burn it by checking the itch.io page description. i also encountered a bug where after i restarted the level, the level name didn't disappear in the middle of the screen. anywho, i really like this. a unique take on the tower theme for sure. great job! consider trying my game as well!

Appreciate the playthrough and helpful feedback, Cook!

Man this was insanely hard for me but it was really cool mechanically and aesthetically! Gave me a lot of Portal vibes

Good call on the Portal tribute, Andy! Our lead dev had a nervous breakdown mid-development and began designing levels for the purposes of driving our beloved players as mad as he. We tried to rein him in, but he posted our individual addresses with a devil emoticon, so we let him be!

What polish! The aesthetics are great; very impressive for a game jam. Super cool. I lost my job many times haha

Like us, you must be BAD AI! Appreciate the play and affirming feedback, Q!

Amazing job guys, 5/5 stars across the board! Super fun and creative and the level of polish for a jam game is immaculate.

Appreciate you checking it out, Berndles! Will be looking forward to playing Gate of God this week. :)

WHAT THE HELL - HOW GOOD IS THIS GAME??? So glad you haven't been rated yet, so it was an easy pick for me.

Music fits perfectly, graphics are beautiful, fun 6/5, theme on the spot... If this is not the winner game, it has to be top 3.

This is what anyone can expect from a game jam at maximum, I guess. A single cool idea, limited in scope but explored and polished to a level I didn't think was possible in 9 days.

Gameplay Moments:

"How hard can it be to replace a box in a stack of 3?" - 60 lost boxes later - "YES, FINALLY, YES"

"Burn boxes? Why do I need this? Oh...."

"Thanks bubble of mercy, but I am a hopeless case"

"What? Another level? How many did they manage to build? ... WHAT?"

Grinded to level 8, will grind more tomorrow! I will recommend this in the discord!

Alwin! A million thanks for giving us our first review (we'd otherwise begun to slump our heads in the Discord server)! Our team in the past has made moody story-based games, so when our lead dev suggested something based entirely around an exciting gameplay loop, we all went for it. Glad to hear the fun factor resonated most with you, and your playthrough was as wild as we'd hoped!

One more thing: when I lost like 50 boxes in that level I shot one up with full force to vent. The box hitting the lamp and destroying it made me chuckle, immediately putting me in a good mood to continue. Soooo amazing, your love for detail!
