Nice use of a proven formula. I do wish there were other things to pick up, motivate you to care about something besides positioning in the fight. Especially since the room would clear after everything was killed, I didn't see a point in picking anything up till it was done.

Yes, some meta goals between rooms would have added some additional purpose, and I think the remedy to fight positioning might be making the tears disappear. I would probably want to rebalance the shop prices if that were the case :)

Loved it! I sat and played this one for quite a while. I'd like if the enemies wouldn't disappear when they walk to the bottom of the room. I presume that was an issue with y-sort on the tilemap. But there was so much good feedback through sound and animation, and everything just felt good to do!

Yeah the enemies needed to avoid hiding down there... lesson learned.

A proven concept and very fun to play. I made it to stage 17 but then i feel like progression slowed down a bit, because i got all the upgrades that i wanted. 

Btw, the reload animation is super satisfying!
