No shop in the center was a purposeful decision, the other noted things are real for sure.
Glad you enjoyed the upgrade system and thanks for playing!

<3 Thank you for playing!

Thanks for leaving such detailed feedback! I agree on the bottom wall. If expanded, game would go in the ridiculous build direction with upgrades, you can already achieve some pretty broken stuff with rifle bullets, shotgun muzzle, burst module but I want there to be more. Health in the shop would be a massive QOL addition, perhaps if we made it so the shop doesn't close after you leave that would be nice. "It's broken" was the gun starting in a weak state, and "Through the teeth" was going to be the shopkeeper ending up being the final boss. I ended up scrapping that as gameplay more important. Again thanks for writing such a thought out message.

Thank you for your detailed feedback! Means a lot.

Scary! I like the breathing effect as the ghost gets closer.

Yeah the enemies needed to avoid hiding down there... lesson learned.

Yes, some meta goals between rooms would have added some additional purpose, and I think the remedy to fight positioning might be making the tears disappear. I would probably want to rebalance the shop prices if that were the case :)

Yeah the original idea was to theme each room, e.g a Library, a solarium, a dining hall, etc. Sadly ran out of time to add more art. I'm glad you enjoyed the game!

I'd really love to have made a boss for the jam. Ended up having to cut the feature due to the time limit sadly. :(

Awesome, glad to hear!

Thank you!

Thanks for your feedback! The game does currently prevent them from spawning too near you, but perhaps widening that radius or making a spawn animation where they cant hurt you would work... I really like that idea, thanks. Perhaps I will implement it if I make a post-jam version of the game.

For sure, would have helped with the bigger mags. Maybe an auto reload upgrade?

Skill issue. Thanks for playing!

Thank you! I am considering adding the final boss and finishing out the story post-jam. There were many planned features which I had to cut to focus on gameplay loop.

Interesting puzzle game, close on exit is an interesting design decision, kinda like that. Wish there was more levels.

I like the characters! very simple game but has a finished game loop and all. Well done for your first game jam.

This was quite fun, I found myself missing real terminal shortcuts like right click to paste and a full command history with the up arrows. I think having tabs in the browser would have been sick. I got pretty into it however, nice work. The slack notification scared the heck out of me!

Loved the sound design, the monitor hum, the keystrokes, etc. Super good presentation of the concept. Only thing I felt like it was missing was gameplay, it felt more like a choose your own adventure type situation. The writing was great however, and I think it is exactly what you planned it to be so lets consider it a success.

I love that you can jump on the ghoul's head. My favorite part of the game is when he chases you down a dead end and you jump on his cranium and slip away. Feels super fun.

I really like the concept of this game, I think to maximise it having randomized generation for each run and making it restart, or having checkpoints along the way would be cool. Cart upgrades like a ram would be cool. I was impressed that the floating skulls have pathfinding.

Thank you! I had planned to add a final bossfight against the shopkeeper once he gets enough tears from you... maybe I'll make a post-jam version with that..

No luck, missing the pck file

Hi, thanks yes I was able to download. will comment with feedback later.

I agree with Cedric Here, I really like the mechanic of the pursuer but the platforming frustrated me. I like having to wiggle out of the ghost lol.

Classic rage game, I did not get far LOL.

I had fun with what was done, managed to get the doll repaired. This is a good start, and would be pretty fun with some puzzles thrown in!

Wow, a whole window manager in godot! LOL I liked this one, kinda felt like a digital forensics thing.

haha I expected this to be a typical FPS, but no! Interesting idea, I like the skill reload.

Love what you've got going graphically, and the steering felt fun and go-kart like. I wish the car didn't instantly stop when you let go of forward, it would be cool if there was coasting.

(1 edit)

I love the boss design, Revive mechanic, etc! I  was able to just go up the elevator right off the bat if I wanted though it seems. Also the spritework is awesome!!!

https://krakaton.itch.io/the-witcher-hotel  It says I do not have access... The thumbnail looks so cool though

Wow the mining is fun in this thing! Really liked the mining and how the collected ore flies off the screen!

I like the atmosphere of this entry! Interesting vibes.

Agree with Genya Games. Simple and cool.

Wow good art and theming! Scary!

Pretty engaging. I started it up, tabbed out and ended up coming back to complete the game. I like what you've done with just godot menu builtins.

I am really good at this!

I like the inventory system, for sure a good game concept. Of course how good it turns out is all up to execution!
