Amazing Animations, This game is very challenging for me, overall good game. And therefore I have rated it

Developer

thanks for the feedback! Yeah many say it's challenging. Perhaps I should tune it a bit.

You can also play my game and rate it. I will be happy if you play : )

Developer

I'll have a look at it

Loved the character and the animations. Some portals didn't really have an introduction so I didn't fully undedrstand what they changed but still I thought the levels were pretty clever. Game definitely could do with some audio. Overall a good game to play!

Game

cool game, really liked the concept of the portals! Could use some sound effects or music but other than that great job!

Devlog

Liked that you had made a devlog everyday and that you had tons of information in them about your experience and problems you encountered!

Game

Extreme difficult platform jumping 😉! It was a real challenge to jump to the platforms, as some already stated. But it was indeed extreme challinging. I did manage to complete several levels though 💪!

Liked the artwork and style. Also the lighting effects were were nice to watch. And the jumping animation of the player was well done.

The different portals gave a nice twist to the levels.

I had fun playing and trying to complete the levens and enjoyed the art and the level design.

It was maybe sometimes a bit difficult to time the jumps, even when even if it was intended to be. But not too difficult.

I did have problem killing the enemies, not because of the game, but because I used the arrow keys and space to jump and to reach J to attack I often pressed the wrong key...and..died... 🙃

Some music and sound effects would have been a nice addition for the game and give some extra ambiance to the levels. Keep that in mind for your next game. And yes I know, time flies when you are making a game 😉. I read about the difficulties in the other post. Next time you probably will manage it.

Overall a good job, nice challenging game and well done!

Devlog

Good extended devlog! It is educational to read how you came to the final game. Also nice that you wrote something every day. I hope people will get some insights for their own game development.

I really liked the portal effect mechanics. That was a fun idea, however I do not see how this fits the theme. The levels were really difficult, jumps are just within reach but hard to make and the fact that enemies kill you in one hit is a bit too much. The graphics are good, and so are the devlogs. Too bad the game does not have any kind of sound. Some music and sound effects can add a lot.

Developer

Well, in terms of fitting it I was hoping that the extreme speed and "extreme" size would make up for it. As for audio, yes. I have trouble making and submitting audio due to some computer issues. And I'll try to tweak with lives next time. I tried before but it never succeeded, so I wasn't confident enough to put it up. and the art isn't mine. The artist is in the end scene. Thanks for the feedback!

Cool mechanic, level design was a lil brutal though.

Developer

Can you elaborate on brutal? I am aware that my level design is one of my weakness, design wise.
