Feel free to ask questions about the jam here!

Hi! Could you make the jam start a week earlier? I would not be able to participate if not.

Hi Marcdev!
Unfortunately we are not able to start a week earlier.. Hope you can join us on the next Game Jam. Our goal is to organize multiple jams in the future.

Are Dev Logs required? Because my 11 year old laptop might not be able to save 2 h recordings or something like this...

Hi Karljakob,

No they are not required, but they do apply for your overall score in the Jam.

And it does not have to be a video. A blog, some text or a short story telling us how you made the game, what difficulties you had and how you solved them will be good also. The dev log is especially helpful for the participants to learn from each other.

But without it you can still join and win in categories but probably your overall score will be a bit lower.

so, the idea of the devlogs is to for example create the idea, mechanics and a basic project (like an alpha) so constantly you update and said all the work you are doing in each update, like bugs solves, new ideas, changes, etc. until we complete the final beta?

Hi Bromelee,

Yes that could be a way to make a devlog. You could also report a problem during the making of the game and describe how you solved it. Or how you implemented the most important game mechanic. Or how you arrived at your final game idea. Or a day to day schedule of what you did each day.  Many possibilities as long as it has something to do with how you approached the development of your game. Other participants can learn from that and vice versa.
