I really fun and creative game with hard but beatable boss at the end. I need more penguin games with swordfish and ice cubes for weapons! 😉
I almost gave up trying to play it since I got confused why I couldn’t select a castle to play. Eventually figured out the that the starting castle isn’t playable since that’s where the hero starts and after defeating the first playable castle the red background made it apparent. I think it would have been better if all the unplayed castles had the same background to make it more obvious which castles you can play and only let the flag visit playable castles. Also, could’ve hidden the mouse.

Actually the penguins and a bunch of monsters are our signature, you can see them in different other games we made: Shiro's Dungeon, Path of Click and Final Party are only a few of them, all made with Ruby/Gosu too!

This is easily the most polished game I've seen across both of the Gosu Game Jams so far!
The platformer gameplay feels brilliant, the art looks good, and the sounds and music work great. The boss fight was definitely my favourite part - just the right level of challenge that it was really rewarding when I beat it on my third attempt.
An excellent entry!
