Straightforward concept but tough game! I found it hard to grab the stick figures with my trackpad. Maybe a bit more of a grabbing radius would help? I like the simple graphics aesthetic and the stick figure animations work well.

A very simple yet charming entry! It was a lot of fun to throw sitckman and make them splash on the ground xD The concept overally is basic but solid, it works well enough for a jam, great job!

Thanks, glad you enjoyed it!

Very fun game! It reminds me a lot of some little arcade games we can find on Newgrounds. If Gosu had an HTML5 export it would be greatly be appreciated there!

I love the polish you put into the stickman, if we throw them high they will splash on ground but they can still continue to run toward the castle if we haven't throw them with enough force.

It lacks of a background musics during the game, but you probably didn't have the time to implement it.

Overall, I spent a very good time on your game, congrats! :)

Thanks! I did base it heavy off of a newgrounds game, Defend Your Castle, that I enjoyed back in the day of flash games.

Throwing was the most important, to me, feature for this game; Glad the effort payed off.

I did rush, a lot, at the end to get the game submitted several hours early to be able to join in on C&C Renegade’s 20th anniversary event.

This game was giving me RSI but I had to keep playing to try to win. Why didn't I think to play with a trackpad like Orange Flash? I like the aesthetics of this game -- the way it looks.

Developer

RSI? Oof, I should’ve invested more time in getting picking working better.

Glad you like it. The background sky and ground is entirely rendered by gosu using draw_quad and passing different colors for the top and bottom halves to get a nice gradient.

A straightforward concept which makes for a very intense and rewarding challenge!

Interestingly, I found a mouse and a trackpad had their own advantages: with my mouse I could aim easily but found it harder to flick, whereas massive flicks with a trackpad were easy but I sometimes missed the enemies I was trying to pick up. I wonder what it'd be like on a touchscreen...

It took me quite a few tries to finish the 60 seconds without my castle taking any damage, so I'd say the difficulty is just right too.

Nice work!

Glad you enjoyed the game!

Nice comparison of input methods; Maybe I should dust off the Android PR for gosu and see if I can finish it and then test out this game on it.

That's simple but really funny ! I'm used to more complex games from cyberarm, but that's a neat idea :)

I didn’t have as much time for this game jam as I was splitting time between this game and playing C&C Renegade, and some of its mods, for its 20th anniversary event.

I am glad you found the game enjoyable.
