I love the art style and pictures of the fish! I caught a huge rainbow trout and some large mouth bass. I wish there was a little bit more to do other than wait and click, but the fact is -- this is a fairly accurate fishing simulation! haha. you really only need to cast the line, wait and reel. Maybe if you added aspects of strategy to find an area where to fish, then set the hook (as you have right now), then include another minigame for reeling it in. Most fishing games I've played also have the fun of collecting lures, etc. If you're an artist, that would be a great place to showcase your style in the design of the flies.

Great work! Congratulations on submitting!

Like everyone said, I really like the realistic depiction of fishing (the long waiting lol). Great job on your game. Also, your pixel art is amazing.

the art is fantastic, fits the theme too. music would be a great addition though

I'm actually working on that at the moment, I am well aware that the silence makes it feel empty. Thanks for the feedback!

This was so good! I loved the pixel art and the fishing idea. And just like realistic fishing, it took forever to find fish. I would like if you added some fx or music to the game, but that's just an idea. Good job!

Interesting take on the theme. The art was fantastic and the fishing reminded me of stardew valleys fishing system. Cool idea, Great job!

Great Game! Everything about it was really fun. My only complaints are that I couldn't play it outside of windowed mode (it didn't cause any huge problems, and I don't know if that's intentional or not), and. at times, it seemed as if there wasn't any fish spawning for a good while. Besides that, it's down right amazing. The art is beautiful, the sound effects are wonderful, and even the little mini-game when you grab a fish is fantastically done. Fantastic job!

Thanks for the critique! I kept it in window mode because otherwise, some graphics became visible when they shouldn't have (the pictures of the fish you catch, most notably). And yeah, I think the fish spawning issue has something to do with pacing, which is something I'll have to tackle later on.

Great to know! Keep up the fantastic work! :)

Love the emphasis on being patient. Most games do not show being patient. Your pixel art is amazing, and the backrgound is outstanding. Great work. Easy 5/5 for the art.
