Yes. This is summer. Everything here works with the theme; the music perfectly fits the feeling of "What kind of summer is this?" And the whole premise of the game is trying to get the DVD player logo to the corner of the screen, the modern equivalent of watching paint dry. It a unique arcade game concept. But I did find the game to be pretty unclear; I'm glad that a point doesn't need you to perfectly hit the corner, but it often didn't register hits that seemed fine otherwise. But yeah, I like this game. Arcade-ish, yet it's got a real theme.

This is a perfect example of using the theme, pulling from your personal experience, and keeping the concept tight. The music is excellent, sound effects great, artwork is perfect for what is needed. With more time, you might have considered a playlist of your favorite summer movies that are in the DVD player for extra nostalgia factor + more reason to retry playing (to see what movie is next). Very challenging but doable. You should definitely include a screenshot of your high score (17 was it?) just to show people how to go pro with this game!

Nobody can even think of such a game. The moment I saw that DVD logo, I just recalled my old summer days, so yeah! 5/5 on creativity, Although it wasn't clear what to do initially, it was when I read the description then I understood, so maybe a how to play UI can be added to the main menu.
As a suggestion, you can also add images of some old comic books or posters in the background instead of the black screen to give it a good old-summer feel.
Definitely, one of my favourite games so far!!!

Summer lifeguard simulationConcept is hilarious and truly encapsulates summer for a lot of kids. Gameplay is even more unique- who would have though you could turn bouncing the DVD logo into a game?! Great job, one of my favorite games in the GameJam.

Crustacean Castle!Cool idea, it is quite difficult though. I think if you decreased the speed that the dvd symbol moves, it may have made the gameplay quite a bit better. The audio was good and I also liked the UI a lot. The art was alright, the humor was good because the game idea is silly and fun. The game also fit the theme pretty well. Good Job!
