Well done on this. Not my cup of tea but there was a lot of writing here and some really clever lines! The ending didn't have the impact I think it should have, the last 5-10 lines of dialog where you are on the street didn't really paint a picture so it was hard to follow. Maybe a sound effect tied to the ending so you got some kind of hint about what happened?
I didn't know how to add sound effects without looping do I had to opt it. I am debating if I should added more to it. I do have an original script to it, maybe I'll add more to it
I'm going to be very honest here. I didn't like this one at all. It doesn't fit any of the themes required and it just seemed like it was submitted just to be submitted. Aside from having to read the dialogue, there was no actual gameplay to speak of. I feel like the only bit of horror wasn't even expanded on; it was brushed over completely to make room for a fluffy romance that didn't feel like it was going anywhere. I feel that if the ending had been cut, the game wouldn't have been any different. It just wasn't impactful, and part of that was because we're left wondering how it even happened, or why.
One of the challenges the jam had. I based the demo off of that with the twist of sometimes something happens where you have to let go of it. As I was having health problems. I did what I could with possibly expanding it in the further. One of the main factors was thinking... Why??? For the audience, it's meant to be a why moment. Thank you for your honesty, I understand visual novels are not for everyone.
In real life, suddenly losing someone you love or dying yourself would be horrifying.
I didn't really get the point of this one. It wasn't really horror at all (except for the sudden death at the end) but the dialog and plot were really just kinda out there. Not something I was a fan of, sadly. I did laugh at Salsa Water, though.
Yeah, I had to change the script quite a bit because I was feeling very sick but I wanted to publish what I had done.
The marry proposal was my favorite part, nice music.
