Hey Devs,

Very excited to be sponsoring the event and defending my keys for Gallantry for the winner which is launching next Friday.

I was wondering if we could get a free resource list here for the less artistically/musically inclined among us?

Here's a handful I use:

Icons - https://www.flaticon.com/

Images (including illustrations) - https://pixabay.com/

SFX - https://freesound.org/

I typically use these as placeholders in my games before I can find a contractor but you can use them as long as you give credit I believe. I'd be eager to see what others can come up with.

Looking forward to seeing what you guys come up with and giving out some keys!

Thanks; I'll pin this

also https://game-icons.net/ is quite handy.  You can do some stuff on the screen (colour, shape) before downloading.
For some assets I also look at the free things in https://craftpix.net/, though the style may not suit many of the game ideas.
For old style sounds I also use https://www.bfxr.net/
(all links open a new tab)

I think I find a lot of useful assets from  https://itch.io/game-assets(the free ones ofc), people have uploaded tons of useful spritesheets and other useful items. Another great website I found a lot of useful assets from is https://opengameart.org

I also use https://sfxr.me/

If the theme ends up being WW2, I have a free gun pack on itch.io, for anyone who wants to use them. Not trying to self advertise and I can delete this comment if needed.

Any mythological guns? Haha.

I give for free two temples of one of my games:

Little Athena temple https://skfb.ly/o6Xuu

Little Pantheon https://skfb.ly/oonuT

They are inspired by the real ones, but redesigned for use in TPS.
