Description of your game:
Industrial Revolution : Saboteur is an game entry for the Historically Accurate Game 6 of 2023.
It is focused around the Luddites who were a group of textile artisans that fought against the factories during the Industrial Revolution.
There are three quests in the game.
1) Putting up pamphlets around the various levels.
2) Recurring others to your cause
3) Planting bombs in the factors that house the textile machines (this is made up! The Luddites did destroy textile machines, but they smashed them).
It is a first person game. WASD to move around, E to interact, space to jump, left shift to sprint and P to open up the quest menu.
I'm 100% sure there are bugs!
This is made with Unreal, so it is a downloadable game.
Thanks!

Pretty buggy and difficult to navigate. I really like the premise, but I wish there was better direction for the quests. There's also no real indication of what can be interacted with, and many things that looked like they should be interactive (green squares to put up posters) were not.
I lost orientation a little while playing the game, I was a bit confused when I pressed Esc the game immediately exited. There is no specific explanation of what to do.
A bit buggy, but an interesting game. I really enjoyed the sound effects, especially having them be situated in the space, but found the music a little bit repetitive after a while. I think the gameplay could have benefited from having a bit more direction given to the player, as there were a few times I found myself stumbling around unsure of where to go next. Overall though, a solid entry!
Love the Luddites. It was a bit buggy, the only serious one is that you can walk off the world into the aether. You can also endlessly spawn quest updates if you keep pressing E on a revolutionary. Nevertheless, I was able to complete the game. Best part was bombing the machines. Solid quest/completion system, and pretty good spatial audio design.
I would recommend that the music be persistent between scenes so it doesn't keep restarting, and that escape brings up a least a prompt before exiting the game (especially in a collection completion system with no save progress, as this may deter someone from completing the game if they quit out on accident).
