"So that's what Sweden looks like." - Allium while looking around the forest in game.
The style of the game was nice, the text was very readable, the music was nice. Always a plus for having sound effects in the game. :3
The crossbow was a bit confusing, though, but others have mentioned that before. 🙈
I played the WEbGL version as well. Those trees saved my hide because I could hide behind them as I speared the soldiers one by one. I couldn't get the hang of the crossbow, but no matter. It was informative and fun. I lost to Gustav I in the end. Great job! The audio cues were good too.
Thanks for the feedback! I have gotten some feedback from others that the crossbow was somewhat difficult to understand. So maybe I've to be more clear about that, you just hold down the left mouse button until the animation has played out and then let go of the left mouse button.
I played the WebGL version (you mentioned it was not optimal!) so I did run into some control issues etc. I love the set up and saying “this is where you come in” but ultimately the gameplay felt more like a payoff of reading about the story than the main event, if that makes sense. A bit more diversity in the environment could have kept me playing longer.
Nice job! Nice combat mechanics you implemented, it’s hard to do in a short time period of the jam, congrats!!
Thanks for the feedback! Well, I had bigger plans for the story parts of the game, but I had to cut them out because I ultimately didn't have enough time. But I totally get what you're saying about game play and story.
Nice 3D game! The enemies are brutal!
Glad you liked it! I myself was worried that the enemies would be too easy, so maybe I made them too hard in the end.
I'm not sure if I suck or if it's impossible to knock down all the enemies. Really nice forest graphics though.
Well thank you for the feedback! I might have managed to make the enemies a bit too difficult in the end.
