Looks like there's no way to win and suddenly there's billions of red cubes and you have no escape. Interesting concept, but really need to be finished and polish. Nice entry!
Interesting but need more work honestly, the game loop is good, having to swap from flight to fight is a pretty cool main mechanic that ties in the theme well and I do think the game is fun, up until you die that is, Why? The reason why when I died is because around 5 or so minutes into the game, enemies quickly spawned and flooded the room surrounding me, bum rushed me into the wall, pinning me down before draining my health away, which that ain't fair. the other negatives the art isn't the best, the lack of music hurts, the UI leaves things to be desired, and the small amount of upgrades while very functional could have been expanded even in that 72 hour time limit (Unless it was the last thing done which in that case fair) not a bad game at all but it needs some more work.
(and the proof)
Yeah tbh I spent most of the time on getting the wall tiles to procedurally spawn
You have found a very nice idea, of how to include the theme into the game. Very nice game mechanic you've created!
I really liked the concept of this game! Although the enemies could have been better balanced, it was a lot of fun to play!
Thank you :)
Neat concept that was really fun toward the middle of the run! But the enemies were too sparse at the beginning and too dense at the end of the run. I would love to see an updated version of this game that is more balanced!
Thank You :)
Simple game Nice jop!!
Thank you! I'm glad I was able to do a good jop!
I've seen this idea in some other games at this jam and this one is actually good. Needs a few fixes and improvements - balance, performance, QoL things like stopping the game when choosing the powerup - and it would be much better :)
Yeah I figured that out myself way too late.
really liked this idea and take on the theme.
Thank you :)
One guess what happened after this.
Really sorry. I wasn't able to get to balancing. I had an idea to make another upgrade where you increase the number of projectiles. I'll update it after the jam but it is a shame that it's borderline impossible later on.
I also think that the game should pause while you choose an upgrade, and maybe have enemies slow for a bit right after choosing, so you have a better chance of evading.
