This game was more deep than what i tought :D Having upgrades and choosing your path was awesome ! Like others said the game definetly needs sound effects and music. I like the look of the individual elements in the game but inconsistency in art style hurts the overall look :/

Overall it was really fun! I hope to play it again with audio :D

Cool entry overall! It was a funny mix of strengths and weaknesses, so really good in some aspects but not having the audio and necessary bug fixes unfortunately hurt the experience a bit. I liked the concepts and designs a lot as well and thought they worked really well in the tutorial which was very nicely laid out! I wish that consistency had carried into the game though as a lot of the resolutions seemed to vary and the styles seemed to change as well. Really liked the amount of systems working together, the amount of upgradeability was awesome and the shop/quests to go along with that was an extra amazing touch.

With an added clear goal and way of winning I think this is a fun concept and way of going about the roguelike formula. I'd be interested to play again if you guys decide to add the polish and audio!

I really liked this one ! Seems simple at first but damn I had to retry so many times ! :D

A few points did upset me :

- I had a big problem knowing you had to click on the button to select the kind of "challenge" you wanted to do at first
- There is no "reward" when you finish a run with your boat and every time I did, my character seemed to be very slow when I got back to the, so I had to abandon every time :/
- There is no musics or sounds, you can always check for CC0 musics and Fx when you need some, it always add a nice touch !
But overall, it has a very nice feel, the graphics where very cool I liked it ! :) A little more of debbuging and polishing and it would be very cool ! :D

Overall pretty solid ^^
Biggest nice surprise was to discover than the skelettons can hit you on the way back of the scypthe! But I think you had a scope a little too big. There is a bit of polish everywhere, but some hal done so you lose visibility and comprehension. The guide helps a lot though!
I think like you could have reduce the scope outside the main game loop, to give it more polish. Especially the character controller, using the mouse like this make the character really slower than the thinking of the player and the ennemies movements.
But anyway, definitely one of the best of the game jam, good job ^^

I really love the art style here. I was a little confused about how to get it going once the boat set off. Maybe something that implied it was time to pick a card would have helped here. I was really missing some sound or hints to help me get into it. Once I picked the card it all got going. I managed to kill a few things but it felt a little bit vague. I was never really confident I was being successful and it was hard to develop a winning strategy. When I returned to the dock after my boat was damaged I was moving really really slowly and I think it was bugging out. Lots to admire here but things to fix. That's Jams for you.

Thanks for your feedback ! You're right there's lot to fix especially things tutorial related. Another version will be created after the jam.

I am rubbish at tutorials. I never quite seem to get it right. We can't be good at everything.
