This game is great! It's fun and challenging. Great work.
Here are some suggestions that I think would greatly increase this game's appeal.
Particle effects on the car tires. Some sort of penalty when you go off track, grass should slow you down. Button configurations... Allow the player to change their controls. You need to implement some sort of menu for that. Turning sound effects at speed. This would give the player some sort of indication that they are too fast for the turn. Also, the isometric view allows the player to not see corners at speed. Some better indication on the track would be nice.

These are all excellent suggestions and I plan to make all those adjustments over time. I agree with you about the grass, which has not been mentioned yet.
The change control menu will be a low priority, but I should be able to implement it later down the pipeline. I’m wondering what controls you might change yourself? Thanks.
I would prefer to have acceleration as Spacebar and break as Left-Alt. But that's just me. The Arrow keys are fine for steering. XD... You're right to prioritize what's important... Keep up the good work.
Great start to a game! I like the isometric view, reminded me of playing Rock n Roll Racing as a kid. I wish the turn was a little tighter, it was hard to make some turns even if I held the arrow key down the whole time. Some particles on the tires would be satisfying too~ Keep it up! I deliberately made the handling sluggish and weighty, aiming for a more realistic feel, which definitely won’t be to everyone’s taste. You definitely need to brake for a lot of corners!
I am now thinking of adding something like go karts which can feel tight and responsive by comparison, which may help bring more players on board.
Impressive work for such a short period. My feedback:
- Make the car turn faster... currently steering left and right is very slow, making it impossible to take curves s at higher speeds.
- Maybe add an option to keep the camera behind the car?

The idea with the car is that it’s one of the worst performing cars in the game, with handling on the more realistic side rather than arcadey, inspired a little by Circuit Superstars. However I didn’t make this obvious and I might next add an even slower car, with easier handling as I start to add different events and such. I might also add brake lights and tyre smoke to give the player more feedback. I am also going to consider going more arcade with the handling.
Having the camera behind the car possibly reveals too much, however, with some car tweaking I might be able to include it as an option. The camera does need some work in general
