A great, great concept that - for someone who is stuck with only a touchpad during this review period - still feels great and snappy. I can't say I'd have anything to add that anyone else hasn't already said, it captures the frantic spirit of games like "Typing of the dead" while rocking the Geometry Wars aesthetic. It ramps up nicely, it feels snappy and responsive, and restarting is quick and easy. What more can I say?
Echoing all the other reviews - would not think twice about buying this if I saw it on steam. Great concept, great execution. All comes together beautifully.
Notes
Incredible execution on a simple idea.
The one thing I didn't like was that sometimes an enemy would appear partially on the screen and its name was obscured. I think it would be better if that couldn't happen.
This game is so incredibly fun and very different! I find that the music makes me more into it and I find myself needing to breathe between rounds! Absolutely amazing. I love the bomb enemy. I would absolutely buy it if it was on steam. Great job.
Honestly, If you told me this was a game you could go out right now and buy on steam, I'd believe you. Incredible work in such a short timeframe. The idea of having words you can only type with your left hand is GENIUS, and don't get me started on the parry mechanic! It felt so insanely cool timing my shots so that I destroyed an enemy with a parry shot while destroying the turret that shot it! For a game with so many moving parts, I figured surely there would be some jank somewhere, but Im genuinely struggling to think of what I would change. Great work, and well done!
Lots of fun, which I wasn't really expecting for a typing game. Enter with space took some getting used to, think I would prefer enter on mouse click with no backspace.
