Amazing Idea! The art was really nice! The gameplay was smooth, And I loved having to go back to pre-explored areas to get stuff i couldn't before, but i just have two words.. IMMUNITY FRAMES, spikes insta-killed me, and thats probably not intentional...

Thank you for the compliments and feedback! The insta-kill spikes are actually intentional, but I do like the idea of adding immunity frames. They are like that because of how the knockback works (it's a bit hard to explain it concisely). I will look into it along with checkpoints, see what feels right

Cool entry. Use a swiss knife for this theme is a nice idea. the negative points for me are that there is no check points and the music is annoying.

Really nice entry ! The metroidvania aspect was really well-made and the end was really funny ! Just, the music was a bit annoying, but overall it was a cool game !

My only complaints are the lack of checkpoints and BGM

Thanks! I really wanted to play around with the animations in-engine, so I'm glad you liked them! Also the checkpoints is a totally valid criticism, I'll add a couple post-jam

I got to the end. A bossfight would have been nice but it isn't that important.
The textboxes made it hard sometimes when they would popup on top of enemies or spikes I was just dodging.

I love how the game looks, the characters convey lots of personality and are really fun.

I did not manage to get very far into the game, the punishing 1 hit kill spikes combined with the absence of checkpoints made it extremely hard. even after a lot of tries I did not manage to get all the way to the end.

I love the take on the theme and I think the game has potential!

Thank you so much!! I wanted to prove to myself I could make good graphics, so I'm glad you like the look of the game. I will add some checkpoints after the jam, I totally undestand how punishing the spikes are, but at the time it felt like if I put checkpoints the game would have been way too short.
