Zelda!

A player can recognize that the short timeframe of this jam   definitely had an effect  on this game but still I think the idea is very interesting and I would love to see how it turns out in the future!

Good art, cool idea , fits the theme and is quite fun !

btw  check out my game as well! (If you wish..)

Looking cool! I'm interested to see what you guys come up with for this in the future! I encountered a bug but after reading the comments here it really did disappear after refreshing just once so it's not a big deal.

btw if you checked out my submission too that'd be awesome!

checks the nostalgia boxes alright.

the game is quite hard to control. it's real easy to get stuck against the trees, at one point i even clipped into them and couldn't move at all after.  it could also benefit from a HUD of some sort, or at the very least a healthbar

I think I got stuck in the trees after I go left and then up.

Edit: I tried it again and doesn't happen the second time.

Developer

Yes ! Unfortunately, we spotted it only when releasing on itch.io.

When we refresh, everything works fine.

I bet we never encountered this bug because we already had the assets in our cache.

What is the objective?

Developer(+2)

We ran out of time. We were on the verge of finishing the enemy system, but we scrapped it for the release. There is no objective at the moment. We plan continuing this project in a near future :D

Developer

Yep, like my colleague explained we did run out of time. Basically we needed to implement the death system for the enemies and the player, and populate the map with enemies.

The game will receive an update in the following weeks with at least 1 more enemy type, item collection / treasure, populated map, caves, a shop and maybe a dungeon!

I wish there was more time, this game could’ve turned out amazing

Thanks 🙏

Unfortunately, we ran into issues with snowpack and had to migrate to a new boilerplate with webpack. That cost us 2-3 days of being clueless about bugs that made no sense.

Not the best case scenario in middle of a game jam huh?
