Really great presentation, loved the VHS look for this. Soundtrack complimented the feeling of the text really well, and needless to say the story is really fitting for a game jam...
"She also played the dead body of the murder victim in our movie, and she didn't look entirely alive now." Nice. This was way more in-depth and complete than I expected, and the VCR-meets-haunted house vibe worked really well. Impressive.
this was so much fun - i loved all the options, the different characters and rooms, it felt very distinctive. tempted to play again to see how much i can mess it up this time
I enjoyed this game! The narration was great and intruiging to read. The music fit the mood, and I'm in love with the dynamic of these characters. Loved it!
Oooh yeah, that was both a pleasant and unpleasant reminder of pulling all nighters. Really captured the essence and the frustration and the I just wanna be done with it all feeling. I enjoyed it overall.
You somehow managed to capture the god damn feeling of frustration, restlessness, anxiety and deep self-hatred of an all nighter trying to push a project down the teacher's throat. It is a feeling I did NOT want to remember and I resent you all for it (?)
But jokes aside this was GREAT! I honestly felt pretty captivated by the entire premise, how it all advances, the way you formatted everything is just lovely... I am in love with this one.
God, I wish I had made this. Every element adds to the overall experience and the game feels very cohesive as a whole: the music, the story/setting, the gameplay, the UI...
I loved it.
This was excellent, and really captured the mood of an all-nighter on a big group project. I also loved the little digression about Grandma and Grandpa; what was really in that study, anyway? Despite the brutal simplicity of the graphics and sound, they really worked well too.
WHOA. This was amazing! Fantastic eerie atmosphere, a great cast of characters, a mystery, a deadline, and so much content. It felt so alive and responsive, especially with the ticking clock but also with the fact that, you'd drink water three times and then the fourth it would spill on you. Stuff like that made it feel so real. I was only planning to peek at it, then I got sucked in. Super underrated!
Aw jeez, this game time travelled me. I started playing before bed, and now it's well past when I should have retired, but the atmosphere in this game is top notch, and you really capture that all-nighter feel with just about everything! I think some times, some things are a bit illogical in how they follow (I don't know why I needed to get a glass of water before I could go down the cellar), and I think sometimes the choices were overwhelming, but I can see there is a very complex machine working backstage here, so as long as it all works, it's good!
