Nice game! Really a good tutorial and effects. How did you manage to add so many words?

Developer(+1)

thanks for playing! the words that spawn are a list of a couple of thousand of the most popular english words. and then there’s a “dictionary” that i use to check if the typed word is real, which is about 400k words (and the majority of the game file size lol). both i just found edited and turned to json

This is such a well made and polished game. I really loved it. I could not stop playing it and even my wife started to shout words at me using letters from the buffer. It was a really nice experience. I think you have gold here, please consider putting it on steam or something so that more people can experience it!

Developer

ah man this really made my day. thanks for the kind words, i’ll definitely consider it!

yeah, your game definitely hits a spot that games like Balatro hits for me. There are some ways to cheese the game and there needs to be some kind of meta game progression I think, but if you could take your time and design it right I would pay good money for it. In fact if the pitch was right I would have considered investment

Developer

that’s really encouraging, balatro was definitely on my mind when coming up with it. thanks again, you’ve given me a lot to think about!

really nice atmosphere. I like how the text at the start has delays even in one sentence. It really makes it more uncanny

This was very cool! A slightly long intro but then it got going. Highlighting letters you don’t have in the word you are typing would improve the QOL a lot. I don’t understand how losing worked, but I was furiously typing away, that’s for sure!

Developer(+1)

yeah if i’d had the time i would’ve definitely made the intro dialogue faster and/or made it so you could skip the typing animation. thanks a lot for checking it out!

I was pleasantly surprised!

yes, the intro was long. I was about to quit but stuck to it for some reason and so glad that I did.
