Question about game engine use.

Hello!

So I mostly use Unity for my game development, and I've been wanting to use Godot for this jam.

However, I did use Godot for a bit a couple of months ago for the 2D tutorial. However, I stopped using the engine after that, so I would still very much consider myself a beginner in the engine.

Would I still be able to use Godot for the jam?

Thanks.

i mean, you’re not breaking any rules, since there aren’t really any rules stating you must use something you’ve never used before, so i would say go ahead

The jam is thematically about switching engines to greener pastures but is more specifically about playing with something new-to-you. Finishing a tutorial is very different from going through the motions of creating something from whole cloth so go for it. It's a month long jam to give time for learning, so going through one tutorial isn't going to give you an unfair advantage.

definitely, this is exactly the kind of thing the jam is for. good luck!

i hope you win the game jam

GODOT IS HARD TO LEARN SO IF YOU KNOW UNITY BETTER THEN MAKE YOUR GAME IN CONSTRUCT 3

Wow, Godot hard to learn? My impressions are the total opposite. I know a bit of Unity and I'm learning Godot for this jam and it's waaaay easier than Unity once you really get it.
