Good concept, needs just a bit more work on the presentation IMO. Keep it up!
Very very difficult to survive. I would recommend turning off antialiasing so your graphics are crisp and pixely!
I really like the concept - a roguelike where you can't fight back and must focus on fleeing/survival is pretty awesome. I would have to second what some others have posted though; I had some issues navigating the menus (the buttons seemed to be a bit wonky for me when I was playing the web version of the game) and once the enemies spotted you their movement was a bit hard to read, which made running from them more difficult.
I saw that this was your first game jam - congrats on taking that first step. This is a very solid first jam submission!
Hi Tacaro,
I do appreciate the feed back here. Of course what has already been spoken about in the previous comments are large facets on my mind as I look more toward other projects in the future. Thanks to you and everyone for taking a look and playing this game.
Thank you for making the game - I hope you enjoyed making it! Don't take the criticism too harshly; I look forward to seeing what you come up with next.
The game needs a lot more work at its presentation, but a good concept, and nice work.
I actually have no idea what was going on here lol. I couldn't get away from the zombie at all?
I tried clicking on instructions and it just started the game for me. I enjoyed the music and was looking forward to seeing more of the game, but got attacked by zombies and killed pretty quickly. When I did die, there was no option to restart, I tried 'R' and it didn't work, and didn't know what else. It would have been great if there was more feedback on what I should be doing, and if it was more clear how the enemies would respond; what range they would attack etc.
Thanks for the feedback on this. First Game Jam and published game, so I really do appreciate it.
The Enemies in the game spawn at random tile positions in the game. From what it sounds like I would need to balance their attacking a bit more. The game itself is set to restart you after death to the title screen after 3 seconds. I can also tell you that the enemies have an aggro range of 5 units from their center mass, though, you are correct that more on screen feedback would be beneficial. Thank you so much once again.
