Nice game, could be expanded upon with animations instead of warnings.

+ Simple game, easy to play
+ Like the different squid attacks
+ The attack telegraph has a perfect duration to allow the player to move if they are paying attention

- Possibly a bit basic
- Initial screen was a bit confusing and could be laid out better
- Some indication that you had been hit would be good
- Making the player attack animated would make the game more immersive

As Taylor mentioned, the callouts were great. Having some feedback on when you're getting hurt, like sound or a screen flash would have been really helpful as well. 

I liked the danger callouts for the boss battle
