Concept's good but the controls seem hit or miss (by which, I mean that sometimes the controls wouldn't respond). Congrats on getting it in though!

I like the concept but I really struggled with the controls. Others have already mentioned the issue with not being able to jump. Personally, I also found the player character too stiff. It is very slow in gaining momentum and the level design often doesn't give the player a lot of space to gain that momentum which makes some jumps harder than necessary. If you fine-tune the controls and make the visual language a little clearer and more intuitive (I really didn't know what to do at first), this has potential.

Sometimes i cannot jump, i think there should be some problem in jumping events. These kind of stuffs (jumping, speed, etc.) are crucial for platform games. Finsihing a game is hard and proud. Well done, and keep working, because it is a good game.

Good game overall congrats on your first complete game hope this game jam inspires you to make more complete game.

wasn't to sure on what to at this point in the game can't seem to jump when I am flatted down and with the jump the way it is currently it was difficult to even get the item at this side.

thanks for commenting! the exit on the right is just to distract you, see if you can find another way out!

This is really good design for your very first game.  There is some really precision platforming necessary in on instance in particular.  One thing that needs to be refines is the consistency of the jumping.  Sometimes jump just seems to "not work" and that's problematic when you're asking for a lot of precision etc.  But that's correctable.  Don't take away the challenge just refine to tools for solving them.

thank you for the feedback! :) yeah, i've noticed the collider doesn't always detect the ground for some reason, i will check my code! thanks again!

Not bad for your first game! It certainly does lack polishing, but at least you've stayed true to your concept. One weird thing I've noticed: sometimes it wouldn't jump even if I pressed the button.

Also, you put spikes way too close to the beginning of the level on stage 3. You need to give players some leeway; otherwise, it might feel unfair.

thanks! i have noticed the collider being a bit weird, i will try to fix that. and i think i probably crammed too many obstacles in the later levels, it probably made it a bit less fun. thank you for the feedback though!
