This has some definite inspirations from IWBTGTMTG. Similar challenge level with the platforming and the surprises with respect to when / where falling ice will trigger etc. Really nicely implemented. I will say in terms of the theme it's mostly just the visuals that convey this--you have a torch and the room is ice, but there isn't any sort of a hot/cold mechanic. Perhaps something like this could have improved it theme-wise--maybe your torch causing things to melt if you wait too long could have worked really well with the overall game style, keeping you from being too patient? But overall great game.
thanks for the feedback.
I don't know what the IWBTGTMTG is..
the actual idea is everything frozen and you need fire to make things work and to survive. (Not clearly represented) so platforms are frozen so when you reach the ice melts and they will move. But my art skills are not good enough to show it.
I wanna be the guy the movie the game. I'm surprised if you haven't played it at it has very similar style.
This is one of the hardest games I have ever played lol. I enjoyed the cute graphics and the mixture of well-made level-design and easy-tp-learn mechanics makes this game so addicting and rage-inducing X]
Fun platformer. I enjoy the pixel graphics a lot! Could just be me, but I wasn't able to get past the last three icicles on level 5. Otherwise it is a great polished game!
I did make it really hard. You need to be extremely precise in level 5. You should not jump below the spike but before it and enter and exit the spike below area so the spike falls and same for all three.
Good concept and stuff gets stressful fast. The platforming and whatnot it good but a little bit too zoomed out to make the precise jumps, maybe consider scaling the game up a bit. Otherwise great job!
I just set the window in godot(so it just fits the whole level). I will concentrate on the camera and scaling in a future game. Thanks for pointing out.
I like it really gun game, i like the spikes falling
