Cool concept.

I think auto attacking could help here. I also think that with so many crabs coming, some sort of upgrade  system is needed, though that depends on the goal.

Is there a way to get more of the sweeping attacks?

The sprites you're using here are cute. I managed to get up to 174 crabs before I moved on.

I don't have a lot of genre literacy and so can't speak to how well this functions as a Vampire Survivors clone. I feel like the genre's defining aspects include automatic attacks and ever-escalating threats being balanced against ever-increasing upgrades. I'm not really seeing either of those elements at work here, and there's not really enough to allow for sustained gameplay to feel engaging.

All that said, I don't think that conforming to genre conventions is the only approach to making games - there's plenty of interesting space at the fringes, and  what you have here is valid.

I think this is a fun here. If you continue development, good luck!

Bumped to version v0.0.3 to fix a bug where a player takes damage from projectiles when using the Super Slash. Resizing the window should also be more usable. v0.0.2 is still available as my original submission.

Pretty nice game! I had some issues with the game window (it was really small and stretching wasn't enabled so full screen messed stuff up), but the effects looked nice and the crab pixel art was very good!
