What's the hack?
The power management/ELS (Engines/Lasers/Shields) system common in Sci-Fi flight sims (mostly the X-Wing series and Elite: Dangerous). Many of the secondary weapons are inspired by newer, more arcadey Flight Sims and Flight Combat games. There are flashes of other video game systems in there too ... like weapons with stronger effects against shields.

Great job! There is a lot of interesting stuff in this game. It seems very well developed. It looks great too

I'm reminded of 80s childhood - the Last Starfighter, Star Wars (the OG trilogy!), and heck, Buck Rogers. This is such a beautifully laid out and thoughtfully put together game (THE SOUNDTRACK?!), and the approach to tactical combat and interactive RP (over comms and during R&R) is genius.  Tight design, and lovely from start to finish.

A++.

I'm a dog(fighter) for things like this since I've read Brandon Sanderson's "Skyward". Also, big nostalgia on the X-Wing series! Ruleset is simple enough to get going from the start but allows for a depth you'd expect from a starfighter shooter. Happy to give it a proper try as soon as possible.
