This has the solid core of a JRPGish game. The combat drags out a bit with animations, but it comes together nicely. Some sort of progression and soundeffects would take things a long way, as well.
I found it hard to tell what different classes were good at or what different abilities would do. Definitely had to figure most things out with trial and error.
Loved the B movie vibes! Really fun variation of abilities, but lacked some sound effects or more apparent feedback of actions taken. Great fun though!
The B movie vides were kinda a last minute addition, but one we loved lol.
Thanks for playing and the feedback
Loved the different characters/classes/abilities and the art style.
We do too! Our artist killed it!
Thanks for playing!
Like Clyde said, this game needs sound effects as it feels quite empty without them. It feels a bit too slow paced which I think comes down to how it takes multiple turns to defeat the enemies at level 1, the fact you have to manually select the characters to do their attacks and also how in level 1 the enemies don't do that much damage. I feel like this game would be so cool with a bit more polish and I find it funny how there's just a gamer play CS:GO while the other 2 are stabbing alien creatures.
It is slow there are some combinations that are faster than others for clearing through the levels, but between the limited UI and sceen size we were fighting between round speed and providing information to the player. We did run out of time towards the end, there were a few features and a lot of polishing we would have liked to have done.
Thanks for playing and the feedback!
The game IS fun, but the only nitpick I have is it lacks sounds, since without sounds you can’t quite tell who got hit on your team…
But, again, overall a very good game!
Agreed, we did not focus on sound as much as we should have, we were more focused on completing in time to submit.
Thanks for the feedback!
