Hello there! In case you still check your itch comments, I have a question Why can’t I access the cocrea version of sprunki? It says I have no authorization to view the page, but no matter what I do it doesn’t seem to help I’ve tried logging in, setting my birth date, and now I want to re-create my account, but I’m not sure it’ll help either. It’s just the original sprunki page too - any other cocrea projects (including sprunki remixes) load fine
Can you help me please? I really want to play the latest version myself
Thanks! And good luck, genuinely - it’s definitely possible to complete both things you mentioned, especially since Crepper did finish them (surprisingly quickly too… I did not expect him to be so much of a gamer, but not in a bad way), which was quite a relief for me at the time, because I wasn’t sure if other players would be able to complete the game
Ok now, listen
I DO like the game, I DO like the atmosphere, I DO like the message, I DO love everything in this game! And I DID complete it on both endings
The only thing that I don’t like I think you are aware of by now. The delay before the jump just does not work in the context of precise timing of jumps. I almost feel like you wanted to make the game harder not by making harder challenges but by taking away part of the player’s control over the situation. The worst part was the chains of 5 saws on the ground - the timing needs to be reeeeally precise, but the .5 second delay makes you less precise for the sake of it.
Again, don’t take this too close to your heart (my past self would have probably done the same thing to make my platformer stand out if I were to make a “hardcore platformer”), an experience is still an experience, even if it’s a bit bitter, but the solution to such stuff is usually to let people play your game and report about any bugs or inconveniences (you’d also probably like to watch the player play the game yourself, that way you’ll get better info on where the player gets confused and useful stuff like that).
I’ll be glad to see what other cool games you’ll come up with, because this game’s mood gave me “Cats are liquid” vibes :3
Also, you do have some art skills in yourself - you’ve made a nice little subpixel animation on the tails
To be fair, the assets are really well done and (shocker!) could be used in an actual game! So in case somebody (including you) will want to make an underwater themed game - you’ve already done at least half of the work :D
But in case you want me to actually cavil, I’d say learning subpixeling is a good start to making your animations look cooler and smoother! (Truth is, you won’t need to re-do all your animations! Just add some inbetween frames and learn how to imitate <1px movement)
