I didn't encounter any fish, even after walking around the town :( but based on the gifs, the fish design probably add weirdness and unsettling feelings, on top of the sounds design and graphics (which is a good thing for that game! :D )
Hmm ok thanks for the heads up. I'll have a look into it. I assume you were playing the webgl version?
I was playing the webgl version indeed.
That was an experience, not weird at all :P I felt like I was missing something though, I found a blue key that I could pick up, but I didn't know what I could use it for! Really good atmosphere!
There is a gate across from the gas station and another big critter waiting for you. Glad I could make an impression on you :) Thanks for playing and commenting.
Nice work on the graphics. I actually thought, is this really 64x64? And checked, and it is. So you know the developer's done well there :-) There's not much to the actual game -- walk around, hammer the fish monsters to death -- but it's nicely implemented. The sound is quite good, too; in particular, I realised I was getting cues from it without having to consciously notice them, which is always a sign of good audio design. I'm not quite sure where the CIA fit into this, mind, but perhaps I missed a whole chunk of the game where you put down the axe and invade Cuba or something :-)
The animated GIF screenshots of the game don't respect the 64px limit, I should note :-) That's not the game, though, so it doesn't affect the rating...!
i just didn't crop them right cause i was tired :< they are scaled x5.625.
Thanks for playing and commenting. I overscoped (as I usually do) so there was a substantial amount of minor content that didn't make it but would have given the game and it's existence a little more meaning. The name kinda came up in conversation and ended up being weird enough to feel appropriate. Now you ended up on the list for playing the game.
Quite interesting how continuous motion allows you too see much resolution than the 64x64 restriction :)
Thanks for playing and commenting, although I'm not sure if this is a compliment or if you are stating its not 64*64?
It is 64x64, but I'm impressed at how the brain interpolates between frames.
I'm more used at 2D pixel art games at a 64x64 resolution, but I must admit that 3D works quite well.
Ah ok, neato. Glad it's not a pain to look at :)
The loading time is really long, more than 2 minutes :(
There is a Windows version available for download. The game is hardly optimized due to time constraints and has a considerable amount of things to render.
