Did you work in a team?
We are a small group consisting of three of us, together we have a programmer, graphics artist and level designer.

This was a fulfilling experience for sure.

Was the resolution a challenge?
Fit enough detail into the small space available.

What did you learn?
The experiance of not only developing the product but the tools to make that product is both challenging and rewarding (this was built using a custom engine)

When I start the game, the "start game" and "credits" options are grayed out, and the keyboard controls listed on the game page don't work for me.

Developer

Curious to know what input method you we're trying to use?
The non-keyboard controls were put in around the play station classic controller (ps1), although really any controller should work so long as your looking at the axis,

as for the greyed-out options, the game highlights the selected button.

ah I should have mentioned I was using the keyboard controls :)

Cute graphics. And it's impressive you made your engine from scratch!

Reminds me of first Zelda on NES.

Sorry, couldn't really finish the game. I was constantly losing health from enemies who hit me right after entering a new room

Developer

Thanks for the feedback, I did have some issues with the AI of the enemies, the way the character warps from screen to screen really restricts the usable space.
I wont deny that the limited health does make it a challenge to actually beat the game (lucky all that you need to do is find and beat the boss!)
