Did you work in a team?
Two team members - one responsible for programming and the other responsible for art and audio. We had good fun coming up with stupid ideas - this being one of the more stupid ones. It was fun working on the project, and gruelling getting it finished in our own deadline.

Was the resolution a challenge?
We didn't find the resolution particularly challenging to work with overall, aside from our inexperience with pixel art. It was fun only having a small space to work with.

What did you learn?
This was our first game jam and we wanted to get an idea of how much work it takes to smash out a game over a weekend.

Love the idea, well executed! Made it so much harder for myself, I thought the key was timing the gush rush so you'd combo bounces off slimes... Didn't realise until the "you win" bit that you could jump XD

Developer

Thank you! :D Yeah we added prompts for the Space bar for all the gush rush stuff, and timing the bar to combo off slimes is definitely a good strategy! But thought we'd leave the sword jumping as a bonus to figure out... Not sure if that was a good idea in retrospect ;P Glad you made it to the end though XD

I had a great time!

The idea of this game was very unexpected and surprising.
The ending is cool!

Developer

Thanks a lot - glad you made it to the end XD

I really like the idea. Wasn't able to get the sword to go very far and bounce like in the gif. Must be a trick I am missing.

Developer

Cheers, and thanks for playing! You can press the space bar when the sword flies into the air to get a double jump, and if you time the gush bar right you can kind of aim for slimes to bounce off :) Doesn't always work out though!

A really nice "one-button" game. Justpay attention in the game and press the button on the right time.

Very enjoyable! I really liked and played it many times. lol

Developer(+1)

Hey thanks, glad you enjoyed it! We didn't actually realise it was a one-button game until after we'd finished it haha.

Haha! I like one-button games. It's harder than anyone imagine to create one like this.

Good game.

WoW  i liked the game, the main idea is so weird and original. I liked the BGM too, you two have made an original game with nice music. :D

Developer

Thanks a lot! We had fun thinking up dumb ideas and putting this together :)
