Did you work in a team?
Yeah! Me and a musician called Major Bruno made it. He made 2 remixed songs from the original game.

Was the resolution a challenge?
I had no hurdles because I had decided very early on to demakeA Short Hike. That game already had the low-res-low-poly style.

What did you learn?
I learned that I absolutely suck at longer jams and should stick to short ones because l'm too neurotic to focus on one project for 14 days.

This is cute! definitely gives the feel from the original game! I'd echo what others are saying about the camera, but I thought this was a good entry!

The art is very neat and movement feels good overall.

But I want to point out some technical things. Don't publish debug builds, they take up more space (Untick Export with Debug after pressing Export Project). Controls also have some issues as others have pointed out. The camera was the biggest issue for me, even though it grabbed the mouse it couldn't move past the borders of the window.

As far as I'm aware, they contain extra features and data useful if you want to use an external debugger (like gdb). This can add a few unnecessary MB to the file. You might also want to check out https://www.reddit.com/r/godot/comments/8b67lb/guide_how_to_compress_wasmpck_fil... (for html5)

This is cute. It captures a lot of the character that the original game had so much of. I found the camera to be the only part that bothered me. I would have liked it to be zoomed a little further out, or allowed me to angle it further down so I could see where I was going better. Overall, solid entry.

Cute game, I also loved a short hike. Controls were a little odd, moving around with esdf rather than wasd, and the camera didn't move quite right because the mouse was still visible and reached the end of the screen. All in all, could be neat with some tuning of the colors and gameplay. I loved the climbing and hovering btw, well done!

The mouse stays in the center if you click on the screen (at least in the downloadable version). I use EDSF instead of WASD for accessibility
