This was amazing! I didn't think I'd see an unreal engine game in this jam, but I love the way you handled the restriction (by rendering a full 3D world to the 64x64 canvas). It looks and feels exactly like the real portal. The puzzles were also very clever. Like others have mentioned, the sound design is also perfect. I appreciated the remix at the end as well haha!

Great work!

Hello, thanks ! Yes a lot of people like the sound design, and i'm also proud of it. Basically, i reduced every sound's quality level to feel like an old game.

Also, and like i mentionned, i'm not the creator of the remixes and musics, but it was used in Portal prelude mod and i though it was a great idea to use it.

Incredible that this was made in just 4 days. The limited resolution does make it a bit tough to see what's going on sometimes, I'd love to see a post-jam version without the 64x64 limitation.

This is super impressive!  Funny to see a 64x64 game actually getting the fans going on my graphics card lol (I am assuming that's because it's unreal engine?).  You did a really good job of adapting both the visual style and audio style of portal.  The audio queues for things like the electric gates switching were spot on.

I did have a bug-- the first room you do after getting the portal gun, I somehow managed to portal the cube in that room out of existence, so I was unable to continue (unless I missed something)

hello! Thanks for the reply ;) yes sound design is very important for me, i had a lot of fun to « recreate » the half life / portal ambiance.

Yeah sometime the portals are very buggy, sorry of that :/

This is a really good rendition of the portal in a 64x64 resolution. There is a great amount of player feedback through audio cues and visual effects. The challenges feel like they are straight out of the first portal game

thanks :))
