@ gl.itch, I will look into a Mac version. I am thinking I can do it from Windows. I did do a WebGL, but it's unplayable until Unity does some work on it.
Utter chaos! Love it. Performance wasn't great in the Unity web player--please consider making a Mac and/or WebGL build.
Nice idea (futuristic Omaha Beach?) and graphics. Weapons crosshair is needed, at least in zoom mode.

I saw the thumbnail for this game and thought to myself "wow, this looks pretty intense for a low-res game". The game was surprisingly expansive.
Really nice! Truly felt like a war there!
Regardless of intent, the aesthetics of the game are profound: A tribute to Omaha Beach with it's audio and visuals stripped of any sort of realism or grit, sterilized of any emotional truth. A very surreal experience for me.
This is a bad day for me to mainly use a tablet for gaming. ^^;
Kudos for how the game puts you straight into an epic battle, instant 'wow moment'!
@ Team Gormless, I totally agree about the big level not being great. A friend told me that so I made the next 3 levels much smaller. I have no idea why shooting in the landing craft would do that.
@ elFlashor, I did want a HUD, but with the resolution limit I had to give it up.

I dont quite feel the massive open world lands itself well to being rendered on a 64x64 rendertexture, as things in the distance tend to dissolve (making shooting at distant targets very difficult). The level itself lacks direction and I find myself looking around for a place to be. Shrinking it into a more focussed, smaller level would help both these issues.
A technical issue with firing, as when I fire the weapon the game locks up for a frame or two. This happens most when stood in the landing craft with the friendly troops. The weapon model is very nice however and the beach assault does feel like an overwhelming assault. The artillery model is also quite nice!
