I am very happy to announce that I have released today my very first solo game project, Rolly Golfy!

Rolly Golfis a simple and chaotic platformer game, where you don't directly control your character, but are left to the whims of the Gods of Random!

Feel free to go play it (for free! 😊) and send any feedback my way!

You can go download and play it here!

Thank you for playing and thank you so much for your kind words! I agree that heavy was difficult to balance, and I felt being less strong was kinda wasting this... I definitely will have to revisit it sometimes ^^

Thanks for playing! I was planning on adding that simplification of camera zooms, but thanks for the feedback!

Thank you for playing! Glad you liked it :)

I agree! With just 2h more I would have had time for that haha ^^

Thanks for playing!

Thank you for playing!

Thank you for playing and for the suggestions!

I definitely wanted to fix the cameras and make them smooth, but I didn't find the time for it :( Thanks for pointing out the bugs, I'll try to repro them! For the detector if blocked, I'll have to think about how to implement that...

I agree with both the sound/music and the animations, speeding up gameplay would be really good so I'll reduce/skip them.

I might develop it further, if even just for the fun of it :D

Thanks!

Thank you for playing!

Thank you for playing! I will actually try your suggestion, that sounds good!

Thank you for your kind words!

I wanted to add a skip animation feature for afte each roll, but it didn't make it in the short timeframe!... :(

Oh and you can press R to respawn when you're stuck ;)

Thank you! I hope I'll find the time for it :)

Thank you very much for your kind words! I wish you a lot of fun you too! :)

Haha nice one! Thanks for playing :)

Thank you :)

Thank you for your kind words! I wish I had had more time to add more banes/effects, maybe later! ^^

Thank you very much! And thanks for playing :) I'll potentially make more of it once the game jam voting ends ^^

Thank you for playing! :)

Thanks a lot :) It's rough, but understandable I hope ^^

Thank you very much for playing!

Thank you for playing! I wanted to add a "skip animation" button, but didn't have time to finish that up... Ah well!...

Thank you! I actually didn't make the connection with that game until a friend pointed it out ^^

I actually wanted to add way more effects (and way more levels xD), but didn't have time unfortunately!

Thank you, and thanks for playing!

Thanks!

Oh, this is a bug, the stroke counter goes to the top left corner after a few seconds normally, I'm sorry that happened!

Thank you and thanks for playing! Yes I definitely agree that I went a bit too far with the zoom ^^

At first I wondered where it would go, and then new robots appeared :) Nice mechanic with the planning on how to join with them, I just wish there would have been more levels and harder ones!

Nice job :)

Thanks for your feedback!

You can actually disconnect using the spacebar, but I agree that if you don't know it, with the zoom, you risk not seeing your target anymore... Definitely something easy to fix in the future ^^

Regarding the delay, it might come from the fact that you only move when your have a direct line of sight to your target, and that maybe wasn't as clear as I thought! Another things to fix :)

Thanks for playing!

Thanks for playing! :) Yes the zoom could have been a bit better, maybe controlling it could be interesting indeed!

Thank you for playing! I didn't have time to do any art, so disregard the programmer doodles ^^

Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed it :)

Thank you for playing! I agree that tThe character movement conditions need to be made a bit clearer, just to avoid the confusion :)

Thank you very much, and thanks for playing!

Thank you for your kind words and for playing! I was indeed thinking of a way to see enemies paths, just didn't have the time :)

Yes I definitely will put a browser version next time! ^^ Thanks for playing!

Thank you for playing! Indeed I am no level designer and didn't have much time to try to do better levels...

The character stopping should be that it doesn't have a line of sight to the enemy he's tracking, due to a wall for example. The feedback on that wasn't the clearest, would have needed a bit of clarification :)

Thank you! Yes I wanted to do that but didn't have time to cram that last minute unfortunately :( I will remember for next time!

(1 edit)

Ha, figured out the crash at launch, I had to change the Usex64 to true in the options.ini :)

Super polished for a game jam game! And innovative and interesting mechanic, one of my favourites so far!

Congrats :)

I liked it, although I felt that it lacked a little bit in terms of goals or overarching gameplay challenge. The art is really nice, and the animations and interactions between the dog and the items around feel really good, still enjoyed a lot!

Interesting idea! It is a bit fiddly at times I feel, or maybe I'm just bad a it ^^ But I liked it!

Very relaxing toy :) I'd hesitate to qualify it as a "game" as there is no challenge or real "game defined goal", but I enjoyed it greatly nonetheless :) I especially liked the constellations names, very very nice!

Very cute style, I loved it! I was just sad that there wasn't a deeper gameplay mechanic than just finding the similarly-looking critter though, but still cute :)
