Polish leniency

Hey I saw the email about the ability to add additional polish to our games after submission. I regret not adding a timer and "blocks used" score to my game. Would this be allowed, or am I restricted to options such as adjustable volume and save data?

You can do whatever you want, as long as the core game remains the same.

So could I expand upon the current level in my game and make it longer or would that count as changing the core game?

Host

This would be fine, but your game would still be judged by the old version.

This is really interesting.  I discovered a few softlocks in my game I wanted to remove by putting more care into the state machine.  The uploads are disabled though, no?

Yes. You should update your GitHub and then upload it to itch when the voting is over.

In my case, I'd like to upload the same game in html so that more people can play it in the browser without having to download it. Can you confirm this is ok?

Edit: Well, it doesn't allow uploading until voting ends anyway.

You can't change anything on itch, as this would break the spirit of the game jam
