How does your game fit the theme?
Our warriors take deep breaths to focus and harness energy as they meditate their spells. Select a spell by clicking its corresponding number on the keyboard, then type out the spell to deal damage/heal. Longer spells = more healing/damage dealt

Great seeing more and more Godot games. Straight to action. Didn't read the rules/tutorial, but got the idea after a while. Fun character and audio design. Yeah, 4th enemy sounds got a bit too loud.
I would have maybe hoped an additional information from spells (How much stronger are the longer words). As bonus there could have also been really long words. Nice simple game, Good job!
Thank you for the feedback! Glad you had fun
Creative idea! I really liked how you used different kinds of syllables to add to the character of each enemy (I really liked the second guy who says stuff like nyanyanya and hahaha!)
Agreed with bulbandrei that it's a little confusing at first - I didn't realise I had to type a number before I could type one of the attacks. Also, I think some more feedback on the amount of damage your attack does could be good - I assumed while playing that longer words do more damage, but I was never actually sure.
One other thing is the 4th enemy's sound effects are super loud ahaha - maybe turn him down a bit!
I can imagine you turning this into a fun Japanese Kanji learning game, where you have to beat enemies by typing the right readings for different characters or something!
We're so glad the second character was your favorite, we really wanted him to have an impact!
As for the damage-to-word-length ratio, you are correct in assuming the longer words deal more damage. I think, to your point, it would be a great idea to add some sort of visual indicator (other than health bar) that the attack had bigger impact... perhaps some dramatic particle effects? thank you for the feedback!
That character recognition idea does sound very interesting... maybe the same game remade with a Samurai skin ;)
It's a bit confusing at first, there could be an intro explaining what to do, it took me some time to understand I had to type the attacks.
After that, the game turned out pretty fun, had me entertained for some time. It's a nice concept.
Thank you for the thoughtful comment! It's now added to the to-do list :)
