Which theme(s) do you pick?
PANDORA PARADOXXX

How does your game fit those theme(s)?
[SPOILER] we focus a lot in pandoras box interpretation, related to washing machines.

If you follow any of the optional challenges, elaborate as you like.
All of them! We have a eurobeat song in the 3rd level and all are Eurobeat-inspired, the story revolves around the laundromat and washing machine and the second part of the gameplay is a full rythm game!

Were the assets for your game made during the jam? Elaborate as you see fit.
Everything was made during the jam (Except dialogue system, free plugin and free assets, and the Laundromat theme, that one was reuse from another game made by us!)

This is a pretty neat game! I like the 2D/3D style you've gone for. The music (in the section I played, more on that in a moment...) was great. I liked that there was voice acting too, though it seemed like it had been compressed or something... it had a tinny quality to it.

I've always liked games that mix fantasy with mundane elements, like "Recettear: An Item Shop's Tale", so the laundry management part was cool. Unfortunately, I got stuck when my last (i think?) customer got angry in line and then never approached the counter. I'll try and give it another go when I have some time.

What I was able to play was very good though, nice work!

Good job finishing the first segment!

I have mixed feelings about this game.

Some suggestions on what could be improved (in my opinion, feel free to disagree!):

  • unify the controls (e.g. use a single button for interactions and in a rhythm game, and remove the mouse completely)
  • aim for visual consistency: turn off filtering on all the sprites, use the same character sprite for the same character and different sprites for different characters
  • maybe turn off Lumen, as it just makes dark areas noisy, and can be easily replaced by a couple of lights
  • I would pick a different music for the rhythm section, more rhythmical, and place the notes more to the rhythm (currently it is easier to play with sound turned off)

Overall it's a cute idea to combine idler with a rhythm game, keep it up!
